Carolynn Sells - First Woman Winner of ManxGP (Ultra-lightweight class)
On September 4, the 20th anniversary of the Manx GP's decision to allow women into the race, Carolynn Sells made Manx Grand Prix history by becoming the first woman to win a race on the Isle of Man’s Mountain Course. She took the honors in the Manx GP Ultra-lightweight class on her Martin Bullock & Paul Morrisey sponsored Yamaha 400 cc.

The race was 4 laps, one lap on the Mountain Course is 37.73 miles (60.7 kilometres); the course is reputed to be "treacherous".
